Component Process Technician

Summary / Description

We are currently looking to fill multiple Component Process Technician positions. Depending on the need the position could rotate to include a portion of or all of the following operations: Operate mass finishing equipment; accurately weigh or measure solutions; hand polish, shape or blend small intricate parts using jeweler type equipment and microscopes; visually and dimensionally inspect components for conformance to written specification; assemble, test, final clean, package and/or inspect components; fabrication of sewing cuffs, requiring the ability to sew with a needle, perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards.

Job Description

On a daily basis, perform the following component processing tasks as required in addition to the primary tasks assigned: 

  • Control traceability of components and proper sign-off of traveler and/or computer, continually ensuring that documentation is acceptable
  • Keep work area and equipment in clean, orderly condition
  • Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimal supervision
  • Observe safety practices concerning self and others
  • Identify and recommend changes to solve problems that appear in the daily processes
  • Understand and follow company and departmental policies and practices
  • Keep supervisor advised of work status, workload, problems and progress as related to work assignments
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements Qualifications/Skills/Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in inspection or assembly or similar intricate hand work
  • Two years in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
  • Good or corrected eyesight for visual inspection using a microscope for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work in a clean room environment
  • Maintain quality orientation and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good manual dexterity for handling small parts
  • Basic computer skills including at minimum, be adept in use of MS Office 2000 or later, internet, and electronic mail
  • Required to read, write and speak English with good command of the language, follow verbal and written instructions and use simple math
  • Ability to interpret and follow a variety of instructions, both oral and written.
  • Lifting and bending forward with a load of 50 lbs.
  • Understand FDA & ISO manufacturing practices.
  • Adapt easily to changes to product style, tools and work environment
