“I couldn’t be more pleased….”

It's been 14 months since my aortic valve replacement and implant of the On-X mechanical valve.  I couldn't be more pleased with the results.  In the last year, I've averaged walking 3-4 miles per day only missing a few days here and there on account of rain.  Even during this cold winter and last year, I've managed to walk some days indoors at either a local mall or nearby hospital. MapMyWalk app on my cell phone keeps track of the distance.  Since surgery, I've walked over 1,000 miles!   This helps keep my weight down, and so does my healthy lifestyle and food consumption.
